Getting my life together

At this point in the workplace, the team is smaller, I'm on a brand new project, and the rainy season has started to affect our lunchtime and commute. Somewhat surprisingly, I enjoy all three of these changes.

Overall, I'm happy with my life - enjoying myself despite certain rough patches that I imagine to be normal as adulthood unfolds. That said, I must start focusing on what I want to achieve here in AdWords and at Google, and proactively take the necessary steps to get there.  Accomplishing this is the only obstacle in my path to satisfaction, not so much with my job as with myself.

Currently waddling in baby Reeboks, but I know I'll get to a full on sprint with maturity. There is so much opportunity here - I'll be damned if I don't experience it to the best of my ability!

And then more than a year later...

It's now day 450+, and this definitely is the first time I've logged back in, so that didn't go so well. To sum up hundreds of days, loving the cultures and physical landscapes of the Bay Area, enjoying my friends and meeting new ones, learning useful and fun proactive sales skills, 'navigating ambiguity' in terms of what I want to do career-wise at Goog and beyond, and overall having a great time. Going through what I'd like to think are normal early adulthood crises, though they'd hit hard as of late. Overall however I must say my life here has been wonderful, and I'm so grateful for all that I've experienced thus far.

This is CRAZY

Life in the Bay Area, Day 9, and there has not been a bad moment. Transition into adulthood is going smoothly, much more so then I could have imagined, beyond anything that I could have anticipated.

I need to blog about this, so here we go. (Yes, I am starting this blog at my job, as part of my job, as a Noogler.) I must backtrack a little and put up posts about the past few adventures, along with the ridiculous pictures I've taken thus far. Stay tuned!
